The New York City Board of Elections is urging voters to cast ballots during early voting to avoid long lines on Election Day.
Beginning Saturday, Oct. 26th, early voting locations will open on weekends from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays.
According to NYC Board of Elections executive director Michael Ryan, there are 155 early voting locations across the city, up from 105 locations during last years election, and the most since early voting started in the state in 2019.
"This is the first election that we will be able to gage what voters patterns will be," said Ryan.
At vote.nyc you can find out if you are registered to vote and find your early voting and Election Day polling sites.
You can also find what will be on your ballot.
"I encourage people to absolutely do that even if you've decided on candidates because there are 6 propositions," said Ryan.
Voters can apply online through Saturday to get a ballot to vote by mail.
