Family and friends gathered Monday for a wake for former Gov. Mario Cuomo.

Many state and federal officials visited the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home in Manhattan to pay their respects, including Vice President Joe Biden and his wife.

A private funeral for family and friends will be held at the St. Ignatius Loyola Church on Tuesday. Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton are expected to attend.

Cuomo, 82, died of heart failure last Thursday just hours after his son was sworn in for a second term.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has postponed his State of the State address until Jan. 21.
