A Town of Wallkill man is now charges including burglary and assault, following an incident on Saturday morning, according to police.

Officers say that when they arrived 4 Avoncroft Lane, they found a 43-year-old woman suffering from a stab wound to the chest.

She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Further investigation led to the arrest of 40-year-old Johnathan Harris.

He was remanded to the Orange County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
