Here’s what you need to know:
  • It's a mild, hazy and slightly humid start to the morning. Temperatures are in the upper 60s to low 70s.
  • Today will be another warm and hazy day with noticeable humidity. Highs will be in the low 80s. Wildfire smoke from the Canadian wildfires will continue to bring widespread haze to the city. We will see a decline in air quality this afternoon with an AQI up to 100. The air quality won't be as bad as yesterday, but people in sensitive groups should still try to limit outdoor activities.
  • The haze will linger into tomorrow with slightly improving air quality. The wildfire smoke will finally clear out on Friday.
  • The dry stretch continues into the weekend with highs in the mid to upper 80s with increasing humidity. Overnight lows in the 60s to low 70 degrees. The next chance of rain is the midweek of next week with an approaching front. Stay tuned for updates!
  • TRACKING THE TROPICS: We're currently monitoring three areas of interest in the Atlantic basin. Tropical Storm Dexter continues to move East-Northeast away from the Northeast coastline posing no direct threat to land. The other tropical disturbances have a medium chance of further development along the Southeastern coast and central Tropical Atlantic over the next 7 days. More tropical activity is likely now through early October. Stay tuned for updates!
