Wegmans is hiring for its first Manhattan location which is set to open later this year!

The grocery giant is looking to fill about 575 positions. Both full and part time roles are available, and will include jobs in leadership as well as roles across the entire store.  

“We have an awesome benefits program. We go through that during the hiring process, but it’s certainly competitive with anything else in the industry- something we’re really proud of being a great place to work,” said Matthew Dailor, Wegmans Astor Place store manager. 

The new Wegmans will be located at 770 Broadway by Astor Place on the corner of Broadway and 9th Street. 

The store comes a few years after Wegmans opened its Brooklyn location, which was the company's first location within the five boroughs.

“It’s Manhattan - something our company has worked for for a long, long time to be a part of the energy and excitement in the city,” said Dailor, adding, “[it’s] certainly what we experienced in Brooklyn we opened there and can’t wait to do part two here in Manhattan at Astor Place.”

In addition to selling its groceries, Wegmans will also open a omakase restaurant within the Astor Place store, which is set to open in early 2024.
