A company that's building tools to help child care providers in low-income areas has won $200,000 from The David Prize initiative.
Jaime-Jin Lewis is the founder of Wiggle Room, which gives technology to child care providers to better meet the needs of the kids they watch.
Since 2019, the David Prize has been awarding five up-and-coming social, environmental and cultural changemakers throughout the city with a collective $1 million annually.
Each $200,000 prize is awarded to an individual to grow their initiative with no strings attached.
The David Prize is selecting applications for 2022. The deadline is Dec. 21.
