Police say a middle school in Williamsburg received a bomb threat, prompting a shelter-in-place.

The NYPD's Emergency Service Unit responded to I.S. 49, located at 223 Graham Ave., just before 12:30 p.m. Monday.

The school received an anonymous call, stating that there were two pipe bombs at the school, according to police.

The NYPD did not find an explosive device, and it says no injuries were reported.

New York City Public Schools released the following statement:

"The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. Everyone is safe — NYPD quickly investigated this threat and deemed it unfounded."
