A Williamstown woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a February hit-and-run crash that left a man with severe injuries on Route 42.

Authorities said Kushi Singh turned herself in to police on March 17 following a month-long investigation into the early morning collision.

The crash occurred around 4:34 a.m. on Feb. 15 on the southbound side of State Highway 42 near Greentree Road.

The investigation began when Gloucester County Dispatch received an automated crash detection notification from a Mercedes-Benz. According to police, Singh told a Mercedes-Benz operator that she believed she "may have struck something" but was unsure of what she hit. She then left the scene.

Responding officers located an adult male lying in the roadway suffering from severe injuries. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to Cooper University Hospital for treatment.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office identified the suspect vehicle as a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon SUV.

Singh faces several charges, including leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash resulting in serious bodily injury and endangering an injured victim.

Singh was processed and released pending future court proceedings.
