WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Gusts up to 50 mph are possible overnight. There is also the chance of snow for the weekend.
Gusts continue throughout the borough. A wind advisory is in effect through 4 a.m. for gusts that could be up around 50 mph. This will make overnight temperatures in the 20s feel more like the teens.
You'll want all the layers for Friday as well. Gusts will start to die down throughout Friday allowing for a more mellow Friday night and Saturday.
Snow chances return for the weekend. It's looking like there will be wintery weather moving through Saturday night through Sunday morning. This could bring between a coating and 2 inches. This is a first-look at amounts, so this could potentially adjust getting a little closer as more precise snow amounts will depend on the path that this storm takes.
Temperatures on Sunday don't want to move above freezing. This could make for slippery and icy conditions after the snow moves through. Make sure you know where your scrapers and shovels are just in case.
Temperatures get colder before they get better. Temperatures will be in the low 30s to finish out the weekend and start early next week. Then temperatures will return to close to where they should be for midway through December.
