A deadly arctic blast that has wreaked havoc across the United States continues to leave Bronx residents in a deep freeze.
People endured low temperatures Tuesday after another night of single-digit weather in the city. News 12 The Bronx saw a mother and her two little children huddled at a bus stop for warmth. Workers, such as day laborers and car washers, also endured the bitter cold on the job.
Health experts warn anyone exposed to extreme cold for extended periods of time is at risk for hypothermia and frostbite. The Department of Homeless Services is sending out vans to assist people without shelter.
