? Many Brooklyn residents are relieved that earlier snowfall predictions for a messy Thursday commute have not come true.
The National Weather Service now says NYC may get one to three inches of snow, compared to earlier forecasts of four to eight inches. However, Brooklyn residents are seeing more slush than snow right now.
The city?s Department of Sanitation says plows and sand trucks are ready to make the commute easier if the snow starts to fall again and sticks. A sanitation spokeswoman adds trash collection would not be affected by the storm.
Drivers are urged to take it slow as some roadways are icing, and to give themselves extra time to get to their destination.
