Bronx residents battled the triple threat of elements Friday ? rain, snow and sleet. Although spring is right around the corner, the winter storm bore down hard, disrupting roads, train lines and flight schedules. Many airlines have canceled flights at airports in New York and New Jersey. Traffic was backed up throughout the Bronx and the city as commuters tried to navigate the slippery roadways. Officials from Con Edison say they will have crews working all weekend to repair any service problems. Many Bronx residents complain the recent warmth was a tease and they hope to return to such temperatures soon.
