A motorcyclist is dead after witnesses say a car making an illegal U-turn hit him in Midwood Wednesday.
The accident occurred on Ocean Avenue at Avenue R. "I heard a loud bang and as I looked I saw the body flying off the motorcycle onto the sidewalk," an eyewitness said.
Police say the driver of a Mercedes-Benz struck the motorcycle while turning, causing the victim to sustain fatal head injuries.
The unidentified victim's tearful relatives showed up at the scene in a state of shock and were too distraught to talk to News 12 Brooklyn.Police have charged the suspect with driving with a suspended license.
