A man is dead after getting into an altercation at a supermarket Saturday.
News 12 is told it all started when employees suspected he was shoplifting at a Flatbush Avenue Stop and Shop.
The store is temporarily closed, as police are still investigating, trying to piece together what exactly happened.
Police say they came to the location Saturday morning at around 7:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 call that a man was attempting to steal from the store.
Witnesses say they saw the man getting into a fight with employees.
News 12 is told he was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
A Stop and Shop spokesperson says they're working with police to help with the investigation.
Meanwhile the medical examiner is working to confirm how the victim died.
