While Zeanie White's family plans her funeral, community leaders in Bed-Stuy are learning that her death may have been prevented.

Zeanie White, 21, was killed at a barbecue Sunday in Bed-Stuy. Community liaison Tony Herbert learned from sources that White may have been used as a human shield by another victim who was in a wheelchair.

The block where the shooting happened will be closed Tuesday so that family and friends of White and four surviving victims can hold a vigil in their honor.
