A woman was violently attacked and thousands of dollars' worth of iPhones were stolen in a robbery in Bay Ridge. Police are now searching for four men.
Investigators say it happened Sept. 22, around 4:30 p.m. near Senator Street and Fifth Avenue. A 42-year-old woman was walking when the group approached her. Police say three of the men had guns and hit her in the head and face before the fourth man grabbed the box she was carrying.
Inside the box were 40 brand-new iPhones, worth about $40,000, according to police.
The suspects then took off in a blue Tesla sedan, heading east on Senator Street.
The woman was taken to NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn and is expected to be OK.
Police released photos of the men and the getaway car, though the images are blurry and some suspects were wearing ski masks. Detectives are hoping someone recognizes them.
So far, police haven’t said why the woman was targeted or if she knew the men involved.
