Woman beat and spat on by group inside elevator in Coney Island

Police are searching for five people who they say beat and spat on a 51-year-old woman inside an apartment building elevator in Coney Island.
The attack happened just before 8 p.m. on March 16 at 2970 West 27th St. and left the woman with a fractured nose.
Authorities say the group surrounded the woman inside the elevator and began spitting on her before taking turns punching and kicking her.
The woman went to NYC Health and Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health and is expected to recover.
