Police are looking for the man who beat up a woman on a Tremont street as she walked to a bus stop.
Investigators say the 44-year-old victim was walking near Tremont and University avenues toward the bus stop when a man approached her around 6 a.m. Oct. 19. Police say the man punched the woman in her face and head, took her purse and ran.
The victim was treated for her injuries and released from a hospital.News 12 The Bronx has learned two other robberies occurred in the neighborhood Oct. 16, but not at the same location.
Many residents say they are not surprised by the violent attacks. They're calling for security cameras and a greater police presence.
