A woman was hit by what police believe to be a pair of scissors at a Manhattan subway station.  

The 49-year-old victim was on the platform at the Central Park North Station when she was hit with a sharp object.  

Police say when the victim turned around, the suspect ran off. 

The woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
