The 53-year-old woman was slashed in her head and right arm just after 12:30 p.m. Monday inside the Linden Grove Senior Residences, located at 223 Linden St.

Authorities say her attacker was found unconscious and unresponsive on the pavement outside the building. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.
