A Bronx band is hoping its unique members will help it hit a high note with fans. The Brouder family is better known as the Spirits of Gilbride. The group plays contemporary pop music with Irish instruments. The members play at local events across the U.S., as well as for hospital and nursing home patients. Spirits of Gilbride is a well-known and popular name in Ireland and also under a German record deal.Although mostly self-taught, the band is led by the eldest sister, Corina. Band members say they all have separate careers such as nursing, law, and reporting but music is their way of giving back to the community.
