College is said to be the best time of your life, but can you afford it?
The College Board analyzed tuition rates across the country and found that costs are on the rise again.
According to its report, the average cost for in-state tuition at a public university is now just under $19,000 per year, while out-of-state tuition will cost about $33,000. As for a private, non-profit college, it costs more than $42,000 on average per year.
News 12 hit the streets to see if viewers think higher education is getting too expensive. Many think it is and say they wouldn't be able to graduate without financial assistance.
