June is National Safety Month, so the company Wallet Hub did a study to rank the safety of the 50 states and Washington, D.C.
New York's overall ranking was 10. Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Minnesota were named the top three safest states.
The study was based on a number of factors, including workplace safety, emergency preparedness and traffic safety.
Brooklyn residents told News 12 how they feel about the 10th place ranking.
