Work has begun to make the Barclays Center rooftop go green.
Crews began installing easy-to-maintain plants called sedum on the arena's roof.
Forest City Ratner Companies, which owns Barclays Center, says the project will bring much-needed benefits to the community.

The project is expected to be completed by the fall.
