Chopper 12 was overhead as rescue workers pulled a man from a trench in Crown Heights.
It took a team of roughly 100 firefighters nearly one hour to pull the construction worker to safety after he fell 6 feet into the trench.
It happened at a construction site on Dean Street at around 9 a.m. Friday. Officials say the man became trapped underground up to his chest when the hole caved in on him after the fall.
The worker was conscious during the rescue. He was then rushed to Kings County Hospital in serious, but stable condition.
The FDNY says it's still unclear exactly how he fell into the trench to begin with.
