The World Science Festival is making a pit stop in Dumbo at Brooklyn Bridge Park.
StudioKCA designer Jason Kliomski presented a representation of a comet that is currently tumbling through space toward the sun. Scientists plan to use a spacecraft to drop a lander that is about the size of a washing machine onto the comet.
The realistic display, which emits steamy fog, is drawing quite a crowd. People stopped to look at and take photos with the comet throughout the day Wednesday.
The comet will be on display at Brooklyn Bridge Park until Sunday.
