Some NYPD officers who attended Detective Wenjian Liu's funeral turned their backs when Mayor Bill de Blasio delivered a eulogy Sunday.
Some officers say they felt betrayed by the mayor and turning their backs was the only way they felt they could get their message across.
News 12 took to the streets to see what residents thought about the symbolic gesture.
Some residents said they didn't think the act was right, but the officers had a right to do it.
Others thought the behavior was disrespectful.
