Two window washers who were left dangling from the side of the country's highest building spoke publicly Friday about their dramatic rescue.
Juan Lopez, of the Bronx, and Juan Lizama were nearly 70 stories high at 1 World Trade Center Wednesday when a scaffolding cable gave way, leaving them dangling for more than an hour.
Chopper 12 was over the scene as firefighters cut through the glass window to pull the men to safety. Lopez recounted the experience, saying they initially panicked, but were able to stay calm thanks to their hundreds of hours of training.
Both were treated for hypothermia, but are doing well. They said they're grateful for a fast rescue and for another day with their loved ones.
Officials are still investigating what exactly caused the incident.
