Yeshiva University is establishing a new nursing facility for students in midtown Manhattan.

The university aims to meet the pressing need for nurses with a fast-track program slated to commence this fall.

“Sixteen months, we prepare you to take your state licensure boards and you're ready to enter the workforce,” said Peggy Tallier, senior associate dean at Yeshiva University.

“This is a stellar program with stellar faculty, state-of-the-art facility and outstanding curriculum,” she added.

The new 30,000-square-foot facility will be on East 41st Street and Second Avenue. It’s a strategic location to ensure easy access to a high concentration of hospitals for students’ clinical rotations. Tallier said this program comes at a critical time for the profession.

“Upwards of 675,000 positions are now available throughout the United States of unfilled RNs, so what we are doing is meeting that demand,” said Tallier.

The program caters to individuals with a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field, offering a condensed curriculum spanning four full-time semesters. Yeshiva University anticipates enrolling approximately 60 students in its inaugural nursing class and is still accepting rolling admissions.

The first cohort is scheduled to commence in the fall and is expected to graduate by December 2025.
