Parts of the Hudson Valley saw bitterly cold temperatures on Sunday.

News 12 was at Getty Square in Yonkers to see how people were staying warm.

In that part of the city, several people were spotted with several layers on.

One man said he wore two coats.

Resident Angel Rojas encouraged people to stay inside.

"That's my advice, because it's really cold outside," Rojas said.
