Bernadette Emengo says she and her 2-year-old Yorkie, Teddy, were attacked while taking their morning walk on Tuesday.

She says a Rottweiler wearing only a harness lunged at both of them along Avenue J between 104th and 105th streets.

“All I could hear is Teddy screaming," said Emengo. "This Rottweiler is treating Teddy like a stuffed animal like a rag doll.”

Bernadette suffered from a bite to her arm.

Her beloved dog Teddy was bit in the back and the groin area.

In the scuffle, Bernadette let Teddy's leash go.

Teddy was running home when he was hit by a truck.

Teddy succumbed to his injuries the next day.

Bernadette is now demanding the owner of the Rottweiler be held accountable.

The owner of the Rottweiler did not want to speak on camera.

He told News 12 that he loves his dog of eight years and has never had anything like this happen before.

He also noted he was not home when the incident happened.
