Young innovators compete in PAL annual science fair

The Police Athletic League's annual science Friday fair drew hundreds of fifth through eighth graders from centers across the boroughs.
Young scientists were grouped into teams and competed for top prizes, including $500. The challenge for the groups was their invention needed to make a fist. Boys and girls presented their inventions.
Executive director Carlos Belasquez told News 12 the dedicated children are the city's future and that their creativity is mind-blowing.
