Brooklyn is kicking off Youth Vax Week with a fun way to get
younger New Yorkers vaccinated.
The Youth Vax Block Party is taking place at Coney Island today.
Children as young as 12 and even adults can show up to get the Pfizer coronavirus
vaccine.
The goal is to give families a chance to get the coronavirus vaccine in a more
fun and comfortable setting.
Mayor Bill de Blasio says that New York City is outpacing the rest of the
nation when it comes to vaccinating the younger population.
The vaccinations are taking place right by Luna Park until 7 p.m.
In addition to the Coney Island vaccination hub, there are also two opening
today in the Bronx at Orchard Beach and in Crotona Park.
