New York is continuing to ease
restrictions, and arts and entertainment venues will be allowed to increase
their capacity starting today.
Zoos, museums, aquariums and
botanical gardens are now allowed to operate at 50% capacity.
People visiting are still required
to book a reservation and follow safety protocols.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the
relaxed restrictions are a result of the state’s declining coronavirus cases as
people are getting vaccinated.
The state’s coronavirus
positivity rate is the lowest it’s been since November.
Cinemas will also be expanding
to 33% capacity.
Arenas
and event venues that host concerts and sporting events will increase their
capacity next month.
