29-year-old slain in Brooklyn, marks city’s first homicide of 2019

Police say the first New York City homicide of 2019 was reported in Brooklyn.
Police say a 29-year-old man was shot inside the fifth-floor hallway of his apartment building on Stanley Avenue.
Officials say police responded to a 911 call at the building near Hemlock Avenue around 4:30 a.m.
The victim was found unconscious and unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made.
