After-school and adult education programs at the Beacon Centers are thriving, according to officials.
Mayor Bill de Blasio recently set aside millions of dollars in increased funding for the programs, which have been running for 25 years.
Organizers say the boost in funding will help the programs expand even more.
Courses range from topics like team building to song and dance at one center in Williamsburg, El Puente, which opened in 1998 and serves around 1,500 people.
