Questions are being raised over what NYPD precinct will have police jurisdiction around the new Barclays Center. According to Councilwoman Letitia James (D-35th District), the arena falls within the boundaries of the 77th and 88th precincts. However, 78th Precinct headquarters are only a few blocks away. James says the NYPD should place a police annex near the arena to house officers from all three jurisdictions.
