A 25-year-old Bronx man is being featured in a New York City Marathon commercial for New Balance.
Jemall Alexander says seeing himself on the big screen in Times Square has been a brand new experience.
"My jaw drops because I just...it's amazing," Alexander said. "I've never seen myself in that way."
Alexander is a fitness model, track-and-field coach and graduate student at Long Island University in Brooklyn. He says the extra 10-hour days on set modeling for brands like Nike and New Balance can be overwhelming sometimes.
The Canada-native is the oldest of five kids and says he has to work multiple jobs to put himself through college.
He is currently earning his Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling.
Alexander's new commercial will run during the Marathon weekend this year. He says he's not running the race this year, but hopes to in the future.
