Commuters cope with closure of 3 line station
The Pennsylvania Avenue subway station for the 3 line remained closed Friday as repairs are still being made after a box truck struck it Thursday morning.
The MTA says the station will be closed for up to four weeks while emergency repairs are made to the station mezzanine.
Officials say the overall structure of the station and tracks are structurally safe, but trains will bypass the station while repairs are being made.
Commuters say the closures are an inconvenience.
Customers can use free shuttle busses that operate between Pennsylvania Avenue and the Van Siclen Avenue Station at all hours.
