Noise from construction right next to Brooklyn Bridge Park's Pier 6 playgrounds is proving to be a nuisance for some parkgoers.
With crews hammering piles into the ground and building the foundation of two new residential towers, some families say the work has been disrupting their playtime.
The Brooklyn Heights Association, which has been fighting the new development in court, says it lost a legal battle to halt the construction a few weeks ago.
Some families say they can put up with the noise and are in favor of the new towers, since they will benefit the neighborhood.
A spokesperson for the park tells News 12 they have not seen a drop-off in play area use, adding, "The developers are complying with all city rules and regulations governing noise mitigation."
