DA Thompson says he has cancer

Brooklyn District Attorney Kenneth Thompson announced Tuesday that he has cancer, but he did not specify what kind. In a statement, he said that Chief Assistant Eric Gonzalez will lead the DA's office

DA Thompson says he has cancer
Brooklyn District Attorney Kenneth Thompson announced Tuesday that he has cancer, but he did not specify what kind.
In a statement, he said that Chief Assistant Eric Gonzalez will lead the DA's office when he's gone for treatment and recovery.
"As a man of intense faith, I intend to fight and win the battle against this disease," the statement read. "I humbly seek your sincere prayers as I confront this challenge."
He also asked for privacy for his family.
