Police say surveillance video captured a man using a brick to break into a parked car Monday on Westchester Avenue.
They say the vandal smashed the windshield of an unmarked NYC Department of Environmental Protection vehicle around 4:30 a.m.
Surveillance video shows a man tying his shoe on the parked car near Glebe Avenue. The man leaves and returns back to that same vehicle with a brick in his hand, and throws it without any hesitation through the windshield of the vehicle.
The suspect then fled westbound on Westchester Avenue.
Police say no one was injured and there was no one in the car at the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
