Hottest toys of the 2018 holiday season
News 12 got a sneak peek look at some of the hottest toys of the upcoming 2018 holiday season while visiting the North American International Toy Fair.
The fair features hundreds of toy companies from all over the world and was held at the Javits Center Jan. 16-19.
Organizers say the fair sees 30,000 visitors from over 1,000 countries each year.
Some hot new toys to look out for are Pikmi Pops, a lollipop-shaped toy that conceals a plush surprise inside.
Fingerlings are another popular toy from the 2017 holiday season, but the company has launched a newer and larger plush version which is due to hit the market later this year.
The Plushy has a feature where it can record your voice and play it back.
Gross toys were among the most anticipated toys of the holiday season with a spitball machine shooter, a plastic monkey that passes gas, a guessing game that involves smells and a ball that contains slime made by Nickelodeon.
Adult party games were also featured at the fair like a jumbo-sized version of the drinking game flip cup as well as card games.
Most of the toys are already available while others will make their debut this spring.
