Hundreds gathered at the Korean War Veterans Plaza for the sixth annual March across the Brooklyn Bridge to speak out against gun violence.
Attendees of all ages held signs and chanted for change.

Some participants had been affected by gun violence, including Yvette Montanez, whose daughter was gunned down outside of a laundromat almost nine years ago.

“I've been doing this march since Day 1, and I will continue doing this march on behalf of my daughter, on behalf of every parent and every child until the day I breathe my last breath," says Montanez.

The people who marched across the bridge say they believe they are making a difference and they are hopeful that gun violence will come to an end.
