INTERVIEW: Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov
News 12 Brooklyn's Nick Meidanis met with Nets President Mikhail Prokhorov, discussing the team's imminent move to Brooklyn. Prokhorov says the opening of the Barclays Center is an historical event for the borough, which will host its first professional sports team since the Dodgers left for Los Angeles after the 1957 season. He says the franchise will attempt to unite neighborhoods through community and cultural events. As for residents' complaints about congestion and noise around the arena, Prokhorov admits the Nets cannot appease every request, but that team officials are taking all factors into consideration.
