Students returned to the temporary location of Westover Elementary School Wednesday.
Parents, teachers and administrators got to tour the new location at the former Pitney Bowes office building on Tuesday.
Board of Education officials say two floors will be home to about 700 kids and their teachers. Offices with large glass windows have been made into classrooms and nearly everything inside is new.
The students who went to visit say they like the new location, which reminds them of a mixture of an airport and mall. Parents say they were impressed by how quickly the space was converted.
The once-office building does not have a playground, but there are plans to close a nearby park to the public during the day so students can use it during recess.
The Westover Elementary School has been shut down for the remainder of the school year due to mold contamination.
Students have been out of class since Halloween and have been taking field trips to make up for lost school days.
However, not every parent is happy with changes made to bus stops.
Parents over at  the Connecticut Avenue and Myano Lane bus stop say it’s too dangerous for students who can no longer walk to school.
A spokesperson for Stamford Public Schools says they understand the new bus stops are not ideal.
There will be a meeting Wednesday to discuss adjustments.
