Lew Fidler concedes in race for BK Senate seat
Democrat Lew Fidler has conceded in the race for the 27th District state Senate seat in Brooklyn.
Republican David Storobin will fill the seat vacated by former Sen. Carl Kruger. The Board of Elections had not yet finished its recount after a March special election was too close to call.
Officials say they will confirm the winner next week, but the victory will be short-lived as redistricting phases out the 27th District seat by the end of this year.
