Loved ones gathered Sunday to demand justice for a Brooklyn woman who died in police custody six years ago.
Friends and family came together to remember Kyam Livingston years after her death in a cell.
Livingston's family says that she was being held at Brooklyn Central Booking and awaiting arraignment for a minor offense in 2013. They say she became ill and was refused medical care after asking for medical assistance for hours while in her cell.
Loved ones and the community kept Livingston's name alive Sunday by rallying and demanding that someone be held accountable for her death.
Livingston's mother says she just wants justice for her daughter.
