A march across the Brooklyn Bridge, and a festival afterward, is celebrating public school teachers and students.
Marchers walked Sunday across the bridge and ended up at Brooklyn Borough Hall for a festival geared toward supporting city public schools.
The March United for Public Schools walk was put together by United Way of New York City in a partnership with Chase.
Organizers say the event also serves as a fundraiser supporting the organization's work in schools.
The Future Festival featured performances from students across the city.
Many local businesses and nonprofit organizations came out to show their support.
