A local chicken coop is ruffling the feathers of some residents in Park Slope.
Dozens of people gathered inside the Warren Street Saint Marks Community Garden Sunday where a chicken coop was built over the summer. Some say the animals, along with their food and feces, will attract more rats, but supporters argue the chicks are a learning experience for kids that pose no problems.
Members of the community garden say the chickens will most likely get to stay, but the meeting was an attempt to ease tension among neighbors.
